Overview
When You Need Active Rehabilitation
If you have a WCB injury that has moved past the acute pain stage, active rehab is often the next step. It helps trades workers, oilfield staff, and warehouse employees rebuild the physical capacity they need to return to their job safely. You may also need active rehab after a soft tissue injury, a back strain, or any workplace accident where your strength and mobility are affected.
Signs You Should Come In
- ✔ WCB workplace injury beyond the acute phase
- ✔ Back, shoulder, or knee strain from trades or warehouse work
- ✔ Need to rebuild strength before returning to the job site
- ✔ Reduced endurance or conditioning after time off work
- ✔ Physician or WCB case manager has recommended active rehab
How It Works
Our Active Rehabilitation Process
We start with a functional assessment to understand what your job demands and where you currently fall short. From there, we build a progressive exercise program targeting your specific injury and work requirements. Sessions are supervised by our kinesiologist, Huzefa Contractor, and are structured to keep improving week over week. We communicate with your WCB case manager as needed and direct bill Alberta WCB directly.

How long does an active rehab program last?
Programs are typically 6 to 12 weeks depending on your injury and return-to-work goals. Your case manager is kept updated throughout.
Who leads the sessions?
Our certified kinesiologist with Alberta Coaching A and B credentials. You work with the same person every session.
